As well as interesting facts about Mallorca, flights and monthly temperatures, it also offers the opportunity to rent a nice holiday apartment near the centre of Cala Dor, easy walking distance from the re developed Cala Dor Marina and near some of the most beautiful beaches the place has to offer.  

Unlike much of the heavily builtup main land the area has stunning scenery and is well kept and clean.  The Mallorquins (Spanish residents of the island) don't speak Spanish like on the mainland, they speak a slightly different language a little bit like Catalan.  English is very widely spoken, as well as some French, dutch and a lot bit of German.  The Mallorquins are very proud of their grounds and you can see this when you come here.

Cala D'or still has plenty of nightlife, but is very different from Palma Nova and Magaluf, the usual tourist haunts on the island.  Cala Dor is much more exclusive.  Its a great place for young couples and families to relax and enjoy the surroundings and great weather, as even in the winter its very mild.  September is a lovely time of the year when the sun is not too strong so you don't have to worry about suntan cream as much!  Away from the often very inflated prices of the other mainland Spanish Costas, Cala D'or offers lower priced drinking, eating out and nightlife. Its well worth the 50 minute or so drive from the airport close to Palma de Mallorca.
